Meet Dominic
Dominic Scheer brings a blend of passion, professional rigor, and real-world experience to the practice of law that's genuinely uncommon. His mission has never been about practicing law for its own sake — it's about empowering individuals, families, and businesses to navigate life's complexities with confidence and clarity.
Before law, Dominic enjoyed a thrilling chapter as a world-champion race car driver and as a small-business owner for more than a decade. Running his own company day-to-day, he learned firsthand the challenges and opportunities that define entrepreneurship — the contracts, the payroll, the partnership disputes, the legal landmines no one warned you about. That experience is exactly what eventually drove him to law school: the conviction that fellow entrepreneurs and families deserved a lawyer who had actually walked in their shoes.
Background & Education
Dominic earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida International University (FIU), then his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law. His legal education was sharpened by hands-on work at several established law firms in South Florida, where he handled estate planning, business formation, contracts, real estate, and litigation matters before founding Scheer Legal.
