Meet Dominic
Dominic Scheer ran a business for more than a decade before he became a lawyer, and it shows in how he practices. He is not interested in law for its own sake. He is interested in getting families, business owners, and injured people to a clear decision they can act on, in plain language, without the runaround.
Before law, Dominic enjoyed a thrilling chapter as a world-champion race car driver and as a small-business owner for more than a decade. Running his own company day-to-day, he learned firsthand the challenges and opportunities that define entrepreneurship, the contracts, the payroll, the partnership disputes, the legal landmines no one warned you about. That experience is exactly what eventually drove him to law school: the conviction that fellow entrepreneurs and families deserved a lawyer who had actually walked in their shoes.
Background & Education
Dominic earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida International University (FIU), then his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law. His legal education was sharpened by hands-on work at several established law firms in South Florida, where he handled estate planning, business formation, contracts, real estate, and litigation matters before founding Scheer Legal.
